In June 2017 the Library & Student Support Services directorate at Sheffield Hallam University began roll-out of their 'Virtual Bridge' skills hub, powered by ALiS Online. The Bridge is a study skills centre, physically situated on Hallam's city centre campus, that brings a range of existing services together to provide a programme of activities, workshops and appointments for students during their time at university.
They are deploying their ALiS Online hub to boost engagement with The Bridge, by running interactive events and offering live 1:1 and group support for all students, but with a particular focus on learners that would traditionally find it difficult to take full advantage of the resources and services available, such as commuter students and distance learners.
Innovation Birmingham Campus is the leading location for Birmingham’s digital and tech community; providing office suites, meeting and conference facilities and co-working opportunities. This awesome, modern settings hosts over 140 annual networking sessions, workshops and conferences for tenants and the region's business community every year, and now they've got their very own ALiS Campus they're set to do even more!
We've lovingly modelled their fantastic iCentrum building and provided ALiS Tutor accounts which will allow them to run both alternative and parallel online sessions, to complement their already vibrant program of face-to-face events. Entrepreneurs-in-residence use ALiS regularly to host mentoring sessions and run peer-to-peer learning events for local startups.
XP School is a secondary school in England which bases its practices on the extremely successful schools of High Tech High and Expeditionary Learning schools across the United States. As such, it offers an academically rigorous curriculum with deep, visceral learning experiences.
XP's ALiS Campus is a detailed and faithful recreation of their School building, complete with classrooms, communal spaces and student's project work on the walls! Using our unique Tour Guide feature, they empower their students by having them run publicly-accessible Ambassador Tours to share practice and celebrate student achievement.
